Grandparent Test

A Grandparent Study is an indirect way to determine family relationships when an alleged father is not available for a paternity test. Grandparent study test results may be used as proof in Social Security benefit and other inheritance claims as well as in some immigration cases.

With this test, the child’s DNA is compared with the DNA of the alleged father’s biological parents. Since a child inherits half of his/her DNA from the mother and half from the father, the father’s half should match DNA passed down from the alleged paternal grandparents. The mother’s participation is encouraged to expedite analysis; motherless grandparent tests take longer to complete because of the extended analysis required.

Please email info@dnafindings.com  with available test takers sex and relationship. This test needs approval from a lab director before testing can commence.

DNA Findings is not currently accredited in NYS, please call 713-868-1438 for more information.
